About Simple Macros
Simple Macros is a free calorie and macro tracker from Simple 6 LLC. We help you track what you eat, build restaurant orders that fit your goals, and keep your daily calorie and protein targets simple.
Maintained by Simple 6 LLC. Last updated .
One account, wherever you track
Log food by photo, barcode or search in the iPhone and Android apps. Use the Meal Generator to find restaurant orders around your calorie and protein goals, or customize an order yourself. Connect a supported AI app and meals you log there appear in the same Simple Macros account.
Every consumer feature is free, with no subscription, no paywall and no trial. See what is included.
Why we made it free
Simple Macros is currently self-funded by its creator. We believe people deserve a useful nutrition tracker without a subscription. Our goal is to keep Simple Macros free. In the future, funding could come from restaurant or brand sponsorships, or commissions on food delivery orders started through Simple Macros. Those sponsorship and delivery partnerships are not in place today.

Know where your numbers come from
Whole foods use USDA FoodData Central. Packaged foods start from manufacturer label data in USDA's Branded Foods database, plus products people add. Restaurant nutrition comes from each chain's published information, with estimates marked. Photo logging is an estimate, too.
Read our nutrition data sources and limitations, including what we track and how to report a wrong number. Simple Macros is not certified or endorsed by USDA or the restaurants featured in the app.
Read reviews or try it yourself
Read user ratings and reviews through our App Store and Google Play listings. For a closer look, you can try the public restaurant tools without an account.
For reviewers and coaches
Get the reviewer kit: product facts, images and a testing checklist.
Test the everyday workflow and share what worked and what did not. A useful place to start:
- Search for a whole food, check its portion, and compare the nutrition with the cited source.
- Scan a packaged food and compare the result with its Nutrition Facts label.
- Build a restaurant order, change an ingredient, and check the updated totals and source date.
- Connect an AI app, log a meal, and confirm it appears in the same account. Then disconnect it.
