Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Simple Macros ("we," "our," or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this service.

Description of Service

Simple Macros is a diet and nutrition application designed to help busy professionals and parents achieve their health goals through personalized daily calorie and protein targets. Our service provides daily macro targets, meal tracking, restaurant meal combinations, and health data integration, free of charge.

User Accounts

  • Account creation: You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Account activity: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • Age requirement: You must be at least 16 years old to use Simple Macros

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Simple Macros only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to solicit unlawful activity
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers connected to the service
  • Share content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or other automated means to access the service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the service
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Scrape, mine, or harvest data from the App or Website
  • Use the App to develop a competing product

Simple Macros is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider before starting any diet program.

  • No medical advice: The information provided is for educational purposes only and should not be considered medical advice
  • Individual results: Results may vary based on individual circumstances, health conditions, and adherence to the program
  • Health conditions: Consult with your doctor before using Simple Macros if you have any medical conditions, are pregnant, nursing, or taking medications
  • Assumption of risk: You assume full responsibility for any risks associated with using our service

Nutritional information for restaurant menu items is provided as-is and may vary by location, preparation method, and ingredient availability. Simple Macros is not responsible for discrepancies between displayed nutritional data and actual nutritional content.

Price

Simple Macros is free. We do not charge for the App, the website, or any of their features, and there are no subscriptions or in-app purchases for sale. If we ever offer something paid, we will show you the price and terms before you buy, and you will never be charged without agreeing to it first.

Subscriptions Bought Before Simple Macros Became Free

Until September 27, 2026, Simple Macros sold subscriptions. If you bought one, this section applies to it. You do not need it anymore: you keep every feature when you cancel.

  • Renewal: A subscription keeps the terms you agreed to when you bought it. Unless it is cancelled, it renews at the end of each billing period at the same price, and your payment method is charged within 24 hours before the period ends. We will not raise the price of an existing subscription
  • Bought on our website: Payments were processed by Stripe. You can see your subscription, cancel it, update your card, and download receipts at simplemacros.com/billing. We may also cancel website subscriptions ourselves at the end of their current billing period, and you will not be charged again after that
  • Bought in the App: Payments are processed and managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Only you can cancel these, in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Apple and Google's terms also apply to them
  • Cancellation timing: To avoid being charged for the next billing period, cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not end the current period early
  • Payment details: Simple Macros does not collect or store your card details. Prices were in US Dollars (USD), and your payment provider may have converted them to your local currency
  • Refunds: We do not provide partial refunds for the unused part of a billing period. For a question about a website charge, email support@simplemacros.com. App Store and Google Play refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies
  • Deleting your account: Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it first

User Content

By submitting content to Simple Macros (including weigh-in data, food logs, and feedback), you retain ownership of your content but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process that content for the purpose of providing and improving the service.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation.

Food Database Contributions

The Simple Macros Food Database lets you add or correct foods by submitting photos of food packaging (the nutrition facts label and the front of the package) along with the product name, brand, serving size, nutrition values, and barcode. Contributions are shown to other Simple Macros users so everyone benefits from a more accurate database. When you contribute, the following rules apply:

  • License: You keep ownership of what you submit and grant Simple Macros a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, use, display, and share your contribution so it can become part of our shared food database and be shown to other users. This mirrors the consent shown in the app when you submit.
  • What you may submit: Only photographs of food and its packaging, and accurate nutrition information.
  • What is not allowed: You agree not to submit content that is objectionable, offensive, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, deceptive, or otherwise inappropriate; content that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights; images that are not of food or food packaging, including photos of people, private documents, or personal information; or false or misleading nutrition data.
  • Your responsibility: You are responsible for the content you contribute and confirm you have the right to submit it.
  • Reporting, moderation, and removal: You can report a contribution you believe is inaccurate or objectionable, and we will review it and act where appropriate. We do not pre-screen every contribution, but we may review, refuse, correct, or remove any contribution at our discretion, and we may restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that misuse the feature or repeatedly break these rules.

Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Users who submit content (including food photos) agree not to post objectionable, offensive, or infringing material. We remove such content and may terminate the accounts of users who violate this policy.

Intellectual Property Rights

  • Our content: Simple Macros and its content, features, and functionality are owned by Simple 6 LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
  • Trademarks: Simple Macros, our logo, and other marks are our trademarks and may not be used without permission

Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using Simple Macros, you consent to our data practices as described in our Privacy Policy.

Service Availability

  • Uptime: We strive to maintain high service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access
  • Maintenance: We may perform scheduled maintenance that temporarily affects service availability
  • Modifications: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service
  • Updates: We may update the app and its features from time to time

Disclaimer of Warranties

SIMPLE MACROS IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any nutritional information, calorie calculations, or health-related data provided by the App.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIMPLE 6 LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR HEALTH, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

  • Direct damages: Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • Health outcomes: We are not liable for any health outcomes, weight loss results, or medical issues
  • Third-party content: We are not responsible for third-party content or services integrated with Simple Macros
  • Data loss: We are not liable for any loss of data, though we maintain reasonable backup procedures

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Simple 6 LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.

Termination

  • By you: You may stop using Simple Macros and delete your account at any time (see Delete My Account). If you still have a paid subscription, cancel it separately
  • By us: We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms
  • Effect of termination: Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately
  • Data retention: We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes

Dispute Resolution

  • Governing law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions
  • Informal resolution: We encourage contacting us first to resolve disputes informally
  • Arbitration: Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court proceedings
  • Class action waiver: You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the App or via email. Your continued use of Simple Macros after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

By using Simple Macros, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Simple 6 LLC regarding your use of the service.
