Coach Terms
Effective Date: October 4, 2026 · Version coach-terms-v3
These Coach Terms apply when you use Simple Macros for Coaches, the part of Simple Macros that lets people share their nutrition data with you. They add to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which still apply. Simple Macros is run by Simple 6 LLC (“we”). You agree to these terms when you set up a coach account. If you coach on behalf of a business, you agree for that business too.
1. Clients choose what you see
A client connects with you in the Simple Macros app and approves what you will see. You see that client's data only while they stay connected. A client can remove you at any time, and your access ends right away. You can only view client data; you can't change anything in a client's account.
2. Use client data only to coach that client
- Use a client's data only to coach that client.
- Don't sell it, share it, export it, copy it into other systems, or use it for marketing, research, training models or any other purpose.
- Don't try to see the data of anyone who hasn't connected with you, or keep using data after a client removes you.
- If you connect an AI assistant to your account, use it only for coaching the clients who shared their data with you, and only with assistants you trust with that data.
3. Keep it confidential
Treat everything a client shares as confidential. Keep your account secure, don't share your sign-in, and tell us at support@simplemacros.com right away if you think someone else got into it. Anything you write down, save or share outside Simple Macros is your responsibility, and you must follow the privacy laws that apply to you and your clients.
4. Simple Macros is not a medical service
Simple Macros is a nutrition tracker, not a medical device or a healthcare service. The numbers in your dashboard come from what clients log and may be incomplete or wrong. Don't present Simple Macros as medical advice, and refer clients to a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns. You are responsible for your own coaching and any licenses it requires.
5. Reviews
Clients may review coaches they have worked with. To keep reviews honest:
- Don't pay for reviews or offer discounts, gifts or anything else in exchange for one.
- Don't make a good review a condition of coaching, or punish a client for a bad one.
- Don't write reviews of yourself or ask anyone to post fake ones.
- You may reply once, publicly, to each review. Keep replies respectful and never share a client's data in them.
You can report a review you believe breaks our rules. We decide whether a review stays up.
6. Truthful profiles
Everything in your coach profile must be true, including your name, business, credentials, specialties, location and prices. Only list credentials you actually hold. Your name, photo, business, headline and bio are shown to people who use your code or link, and, once Find a coach launches and you choose to be listed, to Simple Macros users and on our website.
7. Fees
Simple Macros for Coaches is currently free: unlimited clients, unlimited coaches and coaching companies, at no cost to you or your clients. We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will tell you at least 30 days before any paid plan could apply to you, and nothing is ever charged unless you choose a paid plan. If you choose one, payments are handled by Stripe and we never see your full card number. We never handle payments between you and your clients.
8. Ending
You can stop coaching with Simple Macros at any time by removing your clients, and you can delete your account in the app. We may suspend or end your coach account if you break these terms or misuse client data, and we may tell affected clients. We may update these terms; if we make a material change we will ask you to accept the new version.
9. Coaching companies
Owner addendum, version coach-org-terms-v2
A coaching company on Simple Macros (an “organization” or team) has an owner, may have admins, and has coaches. Any coach can create one from the dashboard and becomes its owner. A client who connects with one of its coaches connects with the company. The owner accepts this section for the company when creating it. As the owner:
- You are responsible for how your coaches and admins use client data, and for making sure they follow these Coach Terms. These Coach Terms bind every member of your organization.
- Assign a client only to coaches who actually coach that client.
- Remove coaches and admins from your organization as soon as they leave or no longer need access.
- Owners and admins can see every client of the organization and manage members, assignments and billing. Give the admin role only to people who need it.
- Organizations are currently free, with unlimited coaches and clients. Section 7 applies to them too.
